About RSS (Real Simple Syndication)
RSS feeds will allow you to have information and news, posted onto MilkNewsroom.com, forwarded directly to your computer desktop and stored in your RSS reader for your convenience so you can read the news stories at anytime you wish directly from your desktop reader.

How do I get an RSS Reader?
An RSS reader is similar to an email inbox, except that it is solely dedicated to receiving and storing all the newsfeeds you subscribe to online.  All you need to do is download a free RSS reader (for example: http://www.rssreader.com/download.htm). Then you can subscribe to the feeds on the "Got Milk? Newsroom" site simply by clicking on the XML graphic which will take you to a new page with code. Once you have pulled up that new page with the code after clicking on the XML symbol, simply copy the url in your browser's URL box and paste into a new feed window in your RSS reader, which you can prompt by clicking on "Add New Feed."

Instructions
You can follow these step by step instructions for downloading an RSS Reader and adding RSS feeds:

Downloading an RSS Reader:

  1. Go to http://www.rssreader.com/download.htm
  2. Click on "Download" (rssreader.exe) and go through the step by step RSS reader installation process
Adding RSS feeds to your Reader:
  1. Once the RSS reader is installed onto your computer's desktop, simply open your RSS Reader and click on the "Add" button to add a new feed.  An RSS "Add feed" popup window will come up with an "http://" field
  2. Leave this popup window open and go back to the original site where you want to grab the feed from and click on the XML graphic.
  3. You will then see a new page with code.  From that page, copy the URL in the browser's URL box and go back to your RSS Reader and pull up the "Add feed" popup window.
  4. Paste the URL you copied into the "http://" field and hit "Next" or "OK"
  5. Your RSS Reader will download all the news stories related to that feed automatically and
from there you will receive all new information directly to  your Reader.  All you'll need to do is simply go back to your RSS Reader to access the stories at anytime you wish.
